History

The historic Cozy Koi Bed & Breakfast house was originally built in 1906 and, over the years, was owned by multiple important Lansing figures — including the city attorney and an employee at REO Motor Car Company.

During the 1950s, the house was transformed into a doctor’s office where it served the Lansing area until 1988, when it was purchased by the current owner and innkeeper, Diane.

With dreams of restoring and moving into the historic home, Diane spent two years building it back to its residential state. The koi ponds and gazebo were added in 2000-2002, adding the final touches to the relaxing back yard.

After purchasing and renovating the cottage next door, the Cozy Koi Bed & Breakfast was officially opened on September 25, 2007. Since then, it has given guests from all over the world a home-away-from-home during their stay in Lansing, Michigan.
